Joe Barron Is a professional artist who has worked in Chicago, New York and Sarasota since graduating with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 1988. He has won international awards and recognition, exhibited in museums and gallery and public spaces. He paints large and small format canvases and Murals and has created designs for textile, fashion and Interior design clients including Ralph Lauren Polo, Hickey Freeman, Robb& Stucky and many others. He has worked at creative visual merchandising projects for Structure Stores and French Connection. He also assisted monthly show installations and coordination of events at Kathryn Sermas Gallery, New York.


Joe currently lives in Osprey, Florida where he creates unique murals, fine art and decorative designs and wall finishes for a variety of clientele including commercial projects as well as the homes of private clients in Southwest Florida's most exclusive residences. His Mural in The Garden Room at The Sarasota University Club was recommended as an Editor's Choice in Sarasota Magazine's Best of the Best issue in May 2004 and Featured in the same publication in October 2009. His work has been seen in the Sarasota Herald Tribune and the Venice Gondier. His Madagaskar themed mural was featured in the cover article in the Magazine Housetrends-Greater Sarasota Winter 2006 issue.


Joe has substantial experience with and utilizes the latest digital imaging and media applications in his work. He has a practical knowledge of HTML which he utilizes to administer his own website.

2007 MIRACLE HOUSE The Florida Suncoast Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Foundation Build for the Cure March 2-18, 2007

Called Villa Milagros or Miracle House the home features nearly 11,000 sq. ft. of living space on more than 300 ft. of picturesque waterfront. Located just steps away from beautiful Lido Beach and St. Armands Circle, Villa Milagros is the first-ever luxury home in Sarasota designed to raise money exclusively for breast cancer research, education and early detection programs. A portion of the sale of the $8.9 million dollar home will benefit the Affiliate. Seventy-five percent of the money raised through the PINK PARTY, presented by Morgan Stanley (March 1, 2007), the public tours of the home (March 2-18, 2007) and the sale of the home itself will stay in our community to fund education, screening and treatment programs in our six-county area. The balance will go to Komen National to fund national and international breast cancer programs.
